Individual Fitness Programmes
Do you know your way around a workout, but you just need some structure? Stuck in a rut and stopped making progress? Or do you just need some help improving your posture?

Why choose SAFE Hands Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation?
Josh at SAFE Hands HFR is both an injury specialist and an exercise specialist. You know that you're in safe hands and getting value for money as you are paying for the expertise of both an Osteopath and a Personal Trainer.
He can recommend a programme that is least likely to result in injury, whilst helping your reach your targets. By reducing your risk of injury you are more likely to succeed in your personal health and fitness goals.
Health and fitness is about a lifestyle change, and one of the biggest reasons that people give up so frequently is because of injury, so why not try and counteract this by incorporating injury prevention into your health routine?
Why get an individual fitness programme?
Having an individual fitness programme gives you the confidence to know that you're doing the best thing for you!
You will have a specific routine that has been designed for you and with your goals in mind.
You will have the assurance knowing that your previous injuries, your medical history, your posture, your current health requirements and everything about you has gone into designing it.
Therefore you are going to improve your health, your physique, your posture, your strength and your flexibility whilst decreasing your injury risk.

Examples of what Josh may be able to help:
1/ Exercise programmes tailored to your current musculoskeletal concerns; for example if you are experiencing shoulder pain whilst exercising, but you don't want to give up the gym completely. Programmes may include rehabilitation exercises prescription for the given problem focusing on achieving STABILITY, ALIGNMENT and FLEXIBILITY.
2/ Exercise programmes tailored around previous injuries; for example if you have previously suffered with a disc bulge in your lower back, you want to get fitter but your not sure what is appropriate to do, all you know is you really don't want to experience that pain again!
3/ You have poor posture, you know you need to fix it, you're just not sure how. Poor posture can lead to a greater injury risk when exercising, and a greater risk of developing musculoskeletal complaints on a day-to-day basis. Exercise programmes can be tailored to help improve your posture by stretching and strengthening the right areas.
4/ You have been advised that you need to get fitter or stronger to reduce the risk of your injury reoccurring, or to prevent injury risk.
5/ Your current health isn't great, you just want to slowly get healthier so that you can enjoy life a little more, spend more time with the kids or grandchildren and make it a lifestyle change, not just another temporary phase - whilst ensuring that what you do is appropriate for you, at a level that won't hurt you.
6/ Or you may just be a healthy individual that needs help tailoring your routine to get to that next level; whilst ensuring that you're not just upping the weight constantly and risking injury. It may even be that you just need an exercise programme tailored to your specific sport or hobby; such as improving that golf swing.
What do you get?
When you first start on your journey with SAFE Hands HFR, you will receive:
An initial consultation with your dedicated exercise, injury and rehabilitation specialist which will take into account:
-
An in-depth injury and medical profile assessment (previous injuries, current injuries or ‘niggles’, a medical history questionnaire of your general health etc.) – this allows me to ensure that your plan has minimal chance of aggravating previous injuries, causing new ones and will allow me to ensure that your plans will be suitable and effective for YOUR current circumstances.
-
Analysis of your personal goals, time availability, equipment availability, preferences and dislikes. This allows me to design a plan that is 100% for you, whether it is a workout at home, in the local park or at the gym. You are more likely to stick to it if it fits around your lifestyle!
A personalised session by session exercise programme that is designed specifically for YOU and YOUR goals. No copy and paste jobs, no generic exercises and nothing that is unrealistic for your personal circumstances. Your entire routine will be given to you in a way that suits you (the most popular way is a downloadable app on your phone that you can take anywhere with you).
You will also have continuous email access to your trainer whenever you feel you need support to get any questions answered or something in your programme altered.
All of this is just £120 for the first month, you get the expertise of a registered Osteopath and a certified Personal Trainer all in one!
After the first month, the fees are just £45 per month (less than a 1:1 PT session) this provides you with:
-
Step ups and step downs for your current personalised exercise programme based on your goals, and how you have progressed and felt so far.
How much does it cost?
Non-Osteopathic patients
The first month including the initial consultation is £120.00
Each following month will cost £45 for an updated gym routine.
If you pay for the first 3 months together you will receive a 5% discount.
Current patients of Good Health Centre or Castle Clinic (-25%)
The first month including the initial consultation is £90.00
Each following month will cost £33.75 for an updated gym routine.
If you pay for the first 3 months together you will receive an additional 5% discount.
By opting for a longer duration it allows Josh to design a programme where he can periodise and incorporate your goals more effectively.
Different goals take different amounts of time,
For example:
- being able to safely increase your squat from 90kg to 100kg may take 1 month (short term)
- being able to safely train to a 5km run from the start may take 2 months (medium term)
- reducing your body fat% from 18% to 12% may take 3 months (long term).
By knowing your goals we can work towards your long term goal whilst reaching other targets.
I.e. Month 1 = £120
+
Month 2 = £45
+
Month 3 = £45
= £210
-5% = £199.50
I.e. Month 1 = £90.00
+
Month 2 = £33.75
+
Month 3 = £33.75
= £157.50
-5% = £149.99
